Inchcape were looking to combine 2 of its servicing facilities in Preston into 1 combined Jaguar and Land Rover Dealership, on a prestigious greenfield location next to the M6. Straightset has vast experience with managing the requirements of multi-franchise dealers, as well as a series of successful projects together with Inchape, including its recent Mercedes Benz Cheshire Oaks site and VW in West London. In addition to being the sole Service provider for Inchcape aftercare maintenance contracts. So, Straightset were appointed to help, advise and install the exciting new workshop at Bluebell Way.
Part of the success of the project was due to the creation of a Design Team, which included the Client Project Manager, the Architect's, Electricians, IT Providers and our own Project Lead. It was at these meetings we were able to provide valuable input into the design of the workshop to meet the requirements of service staff and crucially to ensure that every workbay was able to service any make and model of current Jaguar & Land Rover.
The impressive workshop consists of 22 servicing bays plus MOT Bays, Wheel Alignment Bay and Tyre Bay, all equipped with Slift and OMA vehicle lifts designed to cater for the requirements of Jaguar and Land Rover cars. Wheel Service equipment, 3D wheel alignment equipment and brake testers all from Beissbarth Bosch. Completed with dispensed services including Air, Oil and Ad Blue, pipe work and exhaust extraction, HPC Air Compressor. Expertly finished off with quality Shure technician workstations and Tool Storage solutions.
All designed in cooperation with the Inchcape Retail Design Team, supplied and installed by Straightset management team and our expert installation engineers.
The Building Team & Straightset were able to hand over the Workshop Installation on time and as designed, despite the works taking place over one of the worst winters for rain.
The end result was a well considered, impressive servicing facility and a happy client.
