        Equipment Installation Engineers Required across England due to recent retirement and expansion.

        Do you have any of the following experiences / skills:

        The Role

        The job involves working on various projects nationwide, as part of a team installing Garage equipment into new and existing Motor vehicle workshops.

        Responsibilities include:

        • Installation of garage equipment products including Vehicle Lifts, Brake Testers, Oil Dispensing Equipment, Exhaust Extraction Systems, Compressed Air etc.
        • Carry out diagnostic / repair of a wide range garage equipment.
        • Commissioning of installed equipment.
        • Completion and submission of accurate paperwork.
        • Compliance to laws and regulations covering Health and Safety within the workplace.

        Person Specification

        • Must posses CSCS card (or equivillent)
        • Prepared to travel with overnight stop overs within the UK
        • Weekend work only on voluntary basis
        • Full clean driving licence
        • Works well within a team of other engineers and Project Management.
        • Self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised.
        • Posses’ good communication skills.

        Package

        • Attractive salary dependent on experience and qualifications. Current achievable earnings (dependent upon skill level) - £50-60k per annum
        • 23 days holiday + bank holidays
        • Equipment provided: fully equipped company van, PDA, mobile, branded workwear & PPE.
        • Training is provided.

        Who we need. Is this you?

            • Good working knowledge and experience of the Mechanical Engineering environment, including Hydraulics and Pneumatics and/or a good understanding of Electrics.

            • Can communicate with customers and colleagues - this is a front-facing role.
            • You will possess, and know how to use, a good range of mechanics tools.

        The Job

        Using home as your base, travelling to workshops to carry out maintenance/calibrations and breakdown repairs on Garage Equipment including Vehicle Lifts, Compressors and MOT Equipment.

      • Trainee CAD Technician | Location: Worksop| Salary: Dependent on experience

        Are you self-motivated and enthusiastic, looking for a rewarding career in a busy drawing office?

        Straightset are looking for a Trainee CAD Technician or Drawing Office Junior to join their busy installation teams at our open plan offices in Worksop. Straightset is a family run business providing garage equipment sales and aftercare services into car and commercial workshops around the UK for over 35 years.

        The Role

        In this exciting role, you will be learning from our highly experienced Drawing Office Manager, assisting in the design, fabrication and project installation of workshop equipment from quotation stage through to completion.

        The role includes (but is not limited to:)

              • Using AUTOCAD to aid in the production of complex workshop layouts, building works details and fabrication drawings.
              • Organising and ordering of materials to site.
              • Assisting with onsite queries with our fleet of national engineers and building contractors.
              • Keeping up to date with DVSA/HSE regulations.
              • Liaising with suppliers regarding equipment specifications.

        Our office hours are 8.30am-5pm Monday - Friday

        Qualifications and experience

        Maths, English and a technical subject GCSE Level 5 or above (or equivalent) as a minimum. Able to demonstrate experience or keen interest in Engineering, IT and Design or Architecture. Experience of AUTOCAD would be advantageous but not essential, in-house training will be given.

        Skills and knowledge requirements

        Excellent IT skills, Highly detail-orientated, Strong analytical and organisational skills, Able to meet deadlines and prioritise workloads, Ability to work on own initiative as well as following direction.
