Drip Leg Drain. Norgren Drip Leg Drain part number Norgren 17-816-99 or AIR000015
SPECIFICATIONS
Fluid: Compressed air.
Maximum Inlet Pressure: Transparent bowl: 150 psig (10.3 bar), Metal bowl: 250 psig (17.2 bar).
Maximum temperature: Transparent bowl: 125°F (52°C), Metal bowl: 175°F (79°C).
Bowl: 1/3 Pint Metal with sight glass, 1/3 Pint and 3- Ounce Transparent Bowls are optional.
Port size: 1/2" PTF.
Drain: Automatic.
Automatic Drain Connection: 1/8" NPTF female.
Automatic Drain Minimum Operating Pressure: 10 psig (0.69 bar). The drain is open when the bowl is not pressurized and closed when the bowl is pressurized to approximately 5 psig.
MATERIALS OF CONSTRUCTION
Body: Zinc.
Bowl: Transparent: Polycarbonate Plastic, Metal: Zinc.
Metal Bowl Sight Glass: Pyrex.
Drain Mechanism: Acetal, Polyester, Stainless Steel.
Elastomere: Neoprene and Nitrile.
INSTALLATION
1. Install drip leg drain in air line where water is likely to accumulate, such as at low points and at the far end of the distribution system.
2. The inlet to the drip leg drain should not be restricted. Install drip leg drain vertically (automatic drain at bottom) to 1/2" or larger pipe. Connect piping to port using pipe thread sealant on male threads only. Do not allow sealant to enter interior of drain. If desired, install a shut-off valve in the air line before the drip leg drain to allow servicing without shutting off air to the entire system.
3. Automatic drains are ported 1/8" NPTF to allow piping away of expelled liquid.;Use flexible tubing or non-rigid piping with a 1/8" minimum I.D. for the drain line.;Avoid restrictions in the drain line.
4. Before applying air pressure, be sure bowl is hand tight.

These products are intended for use in industrial compressed air systems only. Do not use these products where pressures and temperatures can exceed those listed under Specifications.; The polycarbonate plastic bowl can be damaged and possibly burst if exposed to such substances as certain solvents, strong alkalies, compressor oils containing ester-based additives or synthetic oils.; Fumes of these substances in contact with the polycarbonate bowl, externally or internally, can;also result in damage.; Clean with warm water only.
Use metal bowl in applications where a plastic bowl might be exposed to substances that are incompatible with polycarbonate.
